Autonomy Algorithm Engineer, Planning & Prediction

About this role

Bot Auto seeks an Autonomy Algorithm Engineer to design and deploy motion planning, prediction, and mapping algorithms for autonomous trucks operating on highways and surface streets. You'll work end-to-end from algorithm development through real-world validation, collaborating across teams to ship production-quality autonomy features.

What you'll do

• Develop and optimize motion planning and behavior algorithms for autonomous truck driving
• Build learning-based prediction and planning pipelines including data curation, model training, and vehicle integration
• Advance online mapping and map-building systems that support planning decisions
• Analyze real-world and simulation cases to identify root causes and implement algorithmic improvements
• Collaborate with perception, control, simulation, and operations teams to validate and release features
