AI Business Automation Engineer

About this role

Box seeks an AI Business Automation Engineer to work directly with internal business teams across Finance, Legal, GTM, and other functions to redesign workflows using AI-first approaches. You'll prototype and deploy agentic solutions that transform how teams operate, spanning data pipelines, system integrations, and production automation.

What you'll do

• Partner with business subject matter experts to map processes, identify inefficiencies, and co-design AI-powered reinventions
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and build agentic solutions end-to-end using Python and modern AI tools
• Prototype rapidly with LLM APIs, RAG patterns, and agent frameworks to validate concepts before production scaling
• Build integrations between Box and enterprise systems (Workday, Salesforce, NetSuite, BigQuery, etc.) using APIs and iPaaS platforms
• Design and implement data pipelines, access patterns, and monitoring to ensure AI solutions are trustworthy and operable
• Apply security, privacy, and compliance controls including data classification, least-privilege access, and responsible AI guardrails
