Mid-Market Solutions Engineer

About this role

Box seeks a Mid-Market Solutions Engineer to drive technical sales for enterprise content management and AI solutions. You'll partner with sales teams to identify customer challenges, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and guide implementations of Box's full platform suite across Chicago, New York, or San Francisco territories.

What you'll do

• Research and identify customer business problems; own the technical aspects of deals and drive them forward
• Lead demonstrations showcasing Box's full solution portfolio including BoxAI, Shield, Relay, Sign, and governance tools
• Understand product integrations, MCP servers, and API architectures to design customer solutions
• Act as technical quarterback managing extended teams and coordinating solution delivery
• Support field marketing events as subject matter expert and presenter
• Travel up to 50% to engage directly with customers in assigned territory

What they're looking for

• Solutions engineering or pre-sales experience in SaaS or enterprise software
• AI fluency including knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, automation, and prompt engineering
• Presentation and storytelling skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Complex technical concepts comprehension and communication
• API, REST, OAuth, and modern architecture familiarity
• Low-code/no-code automation platforms (Nintex, Zapier, n8n)
• Python or JavaScript proficiency (preferred)
• Business acumen and value articulation
