About this role
Braiins Forge, a hardware-focused spinoff from Braiins, seeks an embedded Linux engineer to develop cutting-edge hardware products like the Braiins DECK. You'll work on Linux kernel drivers, OpenWrt systems, embedded protocols, and Rust applications in a small team of 10 passionate developers.
What you'll do
- Develop and modify packages in OpenWrt-based Linux systems
- Create Linux kernel drivers for hardware peripherals like MIPI displays
- Write and maintain device tree configurations for new hardware
- Develop Rust applications for embedded systems and hardware control
- Debug hardware and software issues using tools like GDB and logic analyzers
- Participate in code reviews and manage source code via Git
What they're looking for
- Linux and embedded programming
- C/C++ development
- Bash/shell scripting
- Git version control
- Embedded communication protocols (GPIO, I2C, SPI, USART, MIPI)
- Rust programming (preferred but not required)
- Cross-compilation and ARM architecture knowledge
- Nix build systems
