About this role

Braze seeks a Solutions Engineer in Security & Privacy to serve as a technical bridge between enterprise customers and internal security teams. This pre-sales role focuses on accelerating deals by managing security questionnaires, conducting customer-facing compliance discussions, and building trust through clear communication of the company's security posture.

What you'll do

  • Own and rapidly respond to enterprise security, privacy, and compliance questionnaires (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA, NIST)
  • Serve as subject matter expert on pre-sales calls defending infrastructure, encryption, and compliance standards to prospect CISOs
  • Build and maintain a centralized knowledge base of technical RFP responses and security documentation
  • Collaborate with internal Security, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance teams to translate technical details into customer materials
  • Create self-service security collateral including whitepapers, trust portals, and architectural diagrams
  • Manage multiple concurrent enterprise deals while maintaining attention to detail

  • Security and privacy framework expertise (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PIPA)
  • SaaS and cloud architecture knowledge (multi-tenant systems, APIs, encryption, SSO/SAML/OAuth)
  • Technical questionnaire management and RFP response coordination
  • Enterprise sales process understanding and deal acceleration
  • Written and verbal communication with technical credibility
  • Project management and information organization
  • Marketing technology and data flow comprehension (CDPs, ESPs, CRMs)
  • Security certifications (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CompTIA Security+, CISA, CISSP preferred)
