Associate Structural Engineer
About this role
Lead field assessments and structural analysis of industrial facilities, developing rehabilitation and replacement plans using calculations and analytical modeling. Requires a civil/structural engineering degree, EIT licensure, and 3+ years of experience with hands-on fieldwork in various weather and height conditions.
What you'll do
- Conduct field evaluations of existing industrial structures
- Develop calculations and analytical models for steel, concrete, and composite materials
- Design rehabilitation and replacement plans with detailed specifications
- Perform root cause failure analysis and write technical reports
- Provide quality control and technical support during structural construction
- Coordinate with team members and manage individual field assignments

- STAAD/SAP software proficiency
- ACI 318, AISC, and ASCE-7 code knowledge
- Structural analysis and modeling
- AutoCAD (preferred)
- AWS D.1 welding standards (preferred)
- Written and verbal communication
- Physical capability for fieldwork at heights with equipment
- Team coordination and basic project management
