Portfolio Engineer

Bridgewater Associates seeks a Portfolio Engineer to join the Investment Implementation department in Westport, CT. The role focuses on executing investment strategies and client portfolios with precision, managing both daily operations and system improvements to support the firm's systematic investment approach.

What you'll do

• Implement investment strategies from data processing through trade execution with minimal error rates
• Partner with internal clients including Asset Class Leads and Chief Investment Officers to understand and deliver implementation solutions
• Own investment intent across all portfolio activities in both letter and spirit
• Develop and maintain an investment pipeline to address current and future client needs
• Apply systematic logic, discipline, and controls to signals, positions, and trades across markets
• Balance ongoing operations ('run') with system renovation and transformation initiatives
