Software Engineer (L2-L4)

About this role

Cambio seeks a Software Engineer to build internal tools and automation systems that enhance customer success operations at a rapidly growing climate tech startup. You'll develop backend systems, integrate third-party platforms, and leverage AI to streamline workflows while collaborating closely with end users.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain internal tools that amplify Customer Success team capacity and efficiency
• Automate manual processes across customer onboarding, account management, and reporting
• Develop async task pipelines using Celery and SQS for high-volume workflows
• Build integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms
• Leverage AWS Bedrock and Claude to identify AI-assisted automation opportunities
• Monitor tooling performance and participate in incident response

What they're looking for

• Python and Django REST Framework
• Backend development with Celery and async task pipelines
• AWS services (Fargate, SQS, RDS/PostgreSQL, Redis, CDK)
• Agentic software development using AI agents
• Next.js and Tailwind CSS frontend skills
• Product thinking and workflow optimization
• Retool or similar internal tool platforms
