Technical Leader, Embedded Software and Electronics

About this role

Cambridge Consultants seeks a technical leader to serve as a strategic advisor bridging embedded software and electronics expertise with commercial strategy for the Energy and Industry team. You'll guide clients through complex R&D decisions, shape long-term partnerships, and commercialize breakthrough technologies by aligning technical architecture with business goals.

What you'll do

• Act as trusted technical advisor validating embedded architecture supports client commercial objectives
• Identify and structure long-term partnership opportunities beyond fixed-scope delivery
• Guide architectural decisions and reframe client requests based on technical reality
• Navigate innovation ambiguity by translating complexity into digestible commercial risk
• Collaborate with business development to define new market offerings grounded in embedded systems
• Measure success through client capability lift, strategic alignment, and technology commercialization
