About this role
Candid is seeking a Sales Engineer to lead early revenue growth in Houston's EPC and owner/operator market. You'll build pipelines, run discovery, deliver technical demos, and close deals for an AI platform that automates preconstruction engineering workflows.
What you'll do
- Build and manage pipeline of Houston-based EPCs, PMCs, and owner operators through outbound and networking
- Conduct discovery calls to qualify deals on use case, urgency, budget, and buying process
- Deliver product demos credible to engineers and leadership, translating workflows into ROI
- Scope pilots and proofs of value with clear success criteria and next steps to production
- Handle technical deep dives, RFPs, security questionnaires, and procurement workflows
- Maintain clean CRM and drive tight sales process from first meeting to contract signature
What they're looking for
- Enterprise sales into industrial/EPC firms (5+ years)
- Deep preconstruction engineering knowledge (FEL, FEED, early design phases)
- Ability to communicate with both engineers and executives
- New category/solution selling and comfort with emerging AI products
- Strong networking and business development in Houston market
- Technical writing and follow-up discipline
- Sales engineering or solutions engineering background
- Enterprise procurement and security questionnaire familiarity
