About this role
Cape is seeking an Infrastructure Software Engineer to build and maintain the backbone of a privacy-focused mobile carrier. You'll own the full lifecycle of telecommunications infrastructure, monitoring systems, and compliance processes while working on high-impact problems in a well-funded early-stage startup.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain privacy-focused telecommunications and deployment infrastructure end-to-end
- Build instrumentation and monitoring tooling to improve system reliability, availability, and performance
- Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues before they impact service
- Integrate with existing and new telecommunications infrastructure components
- Lead FedRamp technical accreditation and compliance process
- Establish software engineering best practices and influence team standards
What they're looking for
- Software engineering or SRE (4+ years preferred)
- AWS expertise
- Golang, Rust, Java/Kotlin, or Python
- Monitoring infrastructure and tools
- High availability systems design
- Azure and/or GCP (nice to have)
- Mobile telecommunications technologies like IMS or 4G/5G (nice to have)
- Passion for privacy and national security
