Software Engineer 2 (Hybrid) - Java/MapReduce/Accumulo/Hadoop

About this role

Captivation Software seeks a mid-level software engineer with 14+ years of experience to develop big data solutions using Java, MapReduce, Hadoop, and Accumulo in support of national security missions. This hybrid role in Annapolis Junction, MD requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain software solutions using Java and distributed computing frameworks
• Design and implement MapReduce jobs for large-scale data processing
• Work with Hadoop and Accumulo to handle complex data management tasks
• Contribute to projects with similar scope and complexity in defense or government contracting
• Collaborate with engineering teams to innovate and deliver mission-critical solutions
• Participate in software development following established processes and standards

• Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 based on experience
