Software Engineer II, L2 Integrations Team

About this role

Join CareMessage's Integrations team as a Software Engineer II to build and maintain API and healthcare system integrations that connect external platforms to our patient engagement solution. You'll work on FHIR/HL7 workflows and EHR connections while collaborating across product and customer teams in a mission-driven, remote environment focused on improving health equity.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain API-to-API integrations with external healthcare systems
• Develop direct database connections to major EHRs (Epic, Clarity, etc.) using FHIR and HL7 standards
• Execute scoped integration work independently while seeking design guidance from senior engineers
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, and Engineering teams on requirements
• Ensure integrations are secure, reliable, and maintainable at scale
• Communicate with customers when needed to clarify technical requirements and implementation details
