Software Development Engineer II, Consumer Mobile

About this role

CarGurus seeks a Software Development Engineer II to build backend services for the Consumer Mobile App, helping rebuild the user experience for finding and purchasing vehicles. You'll collaborate across teams to develop mobile-focused features, optimize APIs, and drive consumer-facing innovations in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

• Develop backend features and APIs for mobile-focused consumer experiences
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and analysts across the full development lifecycle
• Investigate and implement API performance enhancements and optimizations
• Design and deploy new consumer-facing features from concept through testing and monitoring
• Integrate with partner technologies and third-party systems
• Advocate for new technologies and methodologies to improve development practices
