Software Engineer, AI & Developer Acceleration

About this role

Cartesia seeks an AI-native Software Engineer to build developer tooling and AI-assisted workflows that accelerate internal engineering velocity. You'll create automated dev harnesses, establish playbooks for rapid internal tool development, and stay at the forefront of agentic coding technologies.

What you'll do

• Build workflows enabling rapid problem-to-solution iteration with minimal manual intervention
• Create automated end-to-end development and evaluation harnesses for coding agents
• Develop playbooks for building data-connected, IAM-aware internal tools
• Research and advocate for latest AI-assisted development practices
• Establish frameworks for human-in-the-loop and fully automated workflows
• Collaborate with non-technical teams on internal tool development

What they're looking for

• Team leadership (2+ years)
• TypeScript, Python, or Go
• Software engineering fundamentals and maintainable code design
• AI-assisted development and agentic systems knowledge
• Technical writing for agent instructions and documentation
• Internal tool development and cross-functional collaboration
• Workflow automation and evaluation systems
