About this role

CesiumAstro seeks an experienced Embedded Software Engineer II to develop embedded Linux solutions for satellite and space platforms. You'll own the full software lifecycle from design through production, working with Yocto, device drivers, and kernel customization across hardware and FPGA teams.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain embedded Linux systems using Yocto build framework
  • Design and implement device drivers, bootloaders, and kernel customizations
  • Perform board bring-up and hardware-software integration testing
  • Participate in architecture design and technical reviews across the development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and FPGA engineers on cross-functional projects
  • Support in-orbit qualification and troubleshooting of deployed systems
