Embedded Software Engineer II

About this role

CesiumAstro seeks an experienced Embedded Software Engineer II to develop communication systems for satellites and aerospace platforms. You'll work across the full software lifecycle using embedded Linux and Yocto, collaborating with hardware and FPGA teams on innovative space technology projects.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux software using Yocto build system
• Design and implement device drivers, kernel customization, and bootloaders
• Perform board bring-up and hardware integration activities
• Participate in architecture design, testing, and qualification processes
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and FPGA engineering teams
• Provide in-orbit support and troubleshooting for deployed systems
