About this role

CesiumAstro is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer II to develop communication systems for satellites and aerospace platforms. You'll work with embedded Linux, Yocto, and device drivers across the full software lifecycle, collaborating with hardware and FPGA teams in a dynamic environment.

What you'll do

  • Develop and optimize embedded Linux systems using Yocto build framework
  • Design and implement device drivers, kernel modules, and bootloader solutions
  • Perform board bring-up and hardware integration for satellite/UAV platforms
  • Participate in architecture design, testing, and qualification of flight software
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and FPGA engineers on cross-functional projects
  • Support in-orbit software deployment and troubleshooting
