About this role
Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Metrology Engineer to develop and implement inspection methods for precision components supporting their SPARC fusion project. You'll work hands-on with advanced measurement systems and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure hardware meets exacting standards.
What you'll do
- Develop and validate inspection methods for complex, high-precision parts
- Design and implement metrology tooling and measurement strategies
- Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, design, quality, and R&D teams
- Document inspection procedures and present findings to stakeholders
- Build scalable, repeatable measurement processes for production
- Solve measurement challenges and improve metrology support systems
