About this role
Contact Government Services is hiring a Cloud and Storage Engineer to design and manage a large-scale EMC-based SAN infrastructure supporting a federal agency. The role involves architecting storage solutions, ensuring 24/7 uptime, and developing standards for configuration, optimization, and disaster recovery in a complex, geographically dispersed environment.
What you'll do
- Design and implement full-scale SAN architecture for EMC-based infrastructure across multiple platforms and locations
- Develop standards and processes for storage configuration, optimization, replication, virtualization, and security
- Perform capacity planning, utilization reporting, and cost modeling for storage and backup environments
- Troubleshoot complex SAN infrastructure issues and coordinate resolutions with internal and external stakeholders
- Plan and execute scheduled maintenance and infrastructure projects while maintaining 24/7/365 uptime
- Architect and maintain private cloud and hybrid cloud environments with security, patch management, and auditing responsibilities
