About this role
CGS seeks an experienced Cloud and Storage Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a large-scale EMC-based SAN infrastructure for a federal agency. The role involves developing storage architecture, establishing standards, managing disaster recovery and backup systems, and ensuring 24/7 uptime across a complex, geographically dispersed environment.
What you'll do
- Design and implement full-scale SAN architecture on EMC infrastructure considering performance, capacity, replication, and disaster recovery
- Develop standards and processes for storage configuration, optimization, replication, virtualization, and security
- Perform capacity planning, utilization reporting, and cost modeling for storage environments
- Troubleshoot complex SAN issues and resolve problems with internal and external stakeholders
- Plan and execute scheduled maintenance and infrastructure projects
- Architect and maintain private and hybrid cloud environments with security compliance tasks
