Contact Government Services seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer to design and document AWS cloud solutions for a federal agency, ensuring security, scalability, and operational excellence. The role combines architectural design, technical analysis, and transition support for large-scale government cloud initiatives.

What you'll do

• Design scalable cloud solutions meeting security controls and operational requirements
• Develop comprehensive documentation for engineering, security, and operational processes
• Perform business and technical alternative analysis to support customer decision-making
• Lead solution transitions to operations and monitor system performance
• Create cloud-based solution designs and implementation plans aligned with customer needs
• Support cloud migration activities including lift-and-shift methodologies

• SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS fundamentals
• Distributed systems and high-availability design
