Cloud Engineer (AWS)

About this role

Contact Government Services seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer to design and document AWS cloud solutions for federal government clients. This role involves architecting scalable, secure solutions; conducting technical analysis; and supporting operational transitions for large-scale distributed applications.

What you'll do

• Design secure, scalable cloud solutions meeting federal security requirements
• Create technical documentation for engineering, security, and operational processes
• Perform business and technical alternative analysis to support customer decisions
• Facilitate solution transition to operations and ensure optimal system performance
• Develop cloud-based solution designs and implementation plans based on customer needs
• Support lift-and-shift migrations using appropriate cloud migration methodologies

• AWS cloud architecture and design
• Cloud computing fundamentals (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
• Distributed application design and implementation
• Cloud networking, storage, and identity management
• Technical documentation and process development
• Large-scale solution delivery and production deployment
• Cloud migration planning and execution
• AWS or Cloud Architect Certification (or willingness to obtain)
