CommVault Systems Engineer

About this role

CGS seeks an experienced CommVault Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and support enterprise backup and recovery solutions for a large federal government environment. The role involves managing complex data protection infrastructure across geographically dispersed networks, ensuring security compliance, and troubleshooting backup and recovery issues.

What you'll do

• Design, configure, and implement enterprise backup and recovery solutions using CommVault across multi-platform environments
• Create and maintain optimal backup, restore, and redundancy strategies including primary/auxiliary copies and VM-based backups
• Troubleshoot complex backup and recovery problems related to networking, applications, servers, hardware, and appliances
• Perform capacity planning, analytics, and reporting within CommVault management solutions
• Implement security updates and patches in accordance with Federal Information Systems requirements and DISA STIGs
• Collaborate with operations teams to develop enterprise infrastructure processes and support timely backup/restore requests
