CommVault Systems Engineer

About this role

CGS seeks an experienced CommVault Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and support enterprise backup and recovery solutions for a large-scale federal government environment. The role involves managing complex data protection infrastructure across geographically dispersed systems while ensuring security compliance and optimal performance.

What you'll do

• Design, configure, and implement backup and recovery solutions using CommVault across multi-platform, geographically dispersed environments
• Create and maintain backup, restore, and redundancy solutions for critical data including primary/auxiliary copies and VM-based backups
• Troubleshoot complex backup and recovery issues related to networking, applications, servers, hardware, and appliances
• Perform capacity planning, analytics, and reporting within CommVault management systems
• Implement security updates and patches according to Federal Information Systems requirements
• Collaborate with operations teams to develop enterprise infrastructure processes and support backup/restore requests
