About this role

CGS seeks an experienced Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer to lead architecture and design planning for enterprise desktop integration initiatives. The role involves developing OS images, managing large-scale software deployments, and ensuring security compliance across desktop and server environments.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement Windows OS images for enterprise deployment using MECM and MDT technologies
  • Develop and test software distribution packages for desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers
  • Act as subject matter expert for OS image development and large-scale software rollouts
  • Analyze and recommend hardware solutions; manage OS patching infrastructure and security updates
  • Provide technical recommendations to meet user software requirements and security standards
  • Perform security assessments, vulnerability reviews, patch management, and system auditing

What they're looking for

  • Windows OS engineering and deployment (Windows 7/10 migration experience)
  • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
  • PowerShell and VB Script scripting languages
  • Security controls implementation and patch management
  • Microsoft Office and application integration
  • Cisco Secure Access and VPN/remote access configuration
  • VDI/Citrix and VMWare technologies (preferred)
  • Litigating software such as Ipro and Concordance (preferred)
