About this role

CGS is hiring an experienced Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer to lead desktop OS image development and large-scale software deployment initiatives for government systems. You'll architect solutions using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and deployment toolkits while managing patches, security compliance, and hardware recommendations across enterprise environments.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement Windows OS images for enterprise deployment at scale
  • Develop and manage software distribution packages using MECM, MDT, and deployment technologies
  • Create automated server build processes and handle OS patching infrastructure management
  • Analyze hardware requirements and recommend desktop, laptop, tablet, and server solutions
  • Perform security assessments, vulnerability scanning, patch management, and compliance auditing
  • Provide technical recommendations to meet user software requirements and integration needs

What they're looking for

  • Windows OS engineering and Windows 10 deployment experience
  • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
  • PowerShell and VB scripting languages
  • Windows 7 to Windows 10 migration experience
  • Security controls implementation and vulnerability assessment
  • Microsoft Office and anti-virus application integration
  • VPN/Remote access configuration (Cisco Secure Access preferred)
  • SCCM, VDI/Citrix, VMWare, and litigating software experience (a plus)
