Java Developer

About this role

CGS is hiring a Java Developer in Dallas to enhance data utilization for a large state-run project by aggregating data from multiple sources and designing scalable data collection and reporting systems. The role requires expertise in Java web applications, particularly the Java Server Faces Framework, and collaboration with business analysts and development teams on enterprise-level solutions.

What you'll do

• Aggregate and prepare data from multiple existing sources for collection, processing, storage, and reporting
• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to produce software designs and specifications
• Develop high-functioning code in Java and integrate solutions into larger enterprise systems
• Test code for functionality, perform debugging, and execute upgrades for security and efficiency
• Provide work estimates, status updates, and track progress against project timelines
• Partner with QA and development teams on testing procedures and provide user training documentation
