PostgreSQL Database Developer

About this role

CGS seeks an experienced PostgreSQL Database Developer to lead the migration from Oracle to Azure Postgres while managing database environments for a federal data analytics platform. You'll ensure system scalability, performance, and reliability while collaborating across technical and business teams.

What you'll do

• Lead Oracle to Microsoft Azure PostgreSQL database migration efforts
• Monitor database performance and availability, ensuring high resilience and minimal downtime
• Create and maintain technical documentation and business data specifications
• Perform performance tuning and assist developers with optimization
• Manage database maintenance including patching, upgrades, and rollouts
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes
