PostgreSQL Database Developer

About this role

CGS is hiring an experienced PostgreSQL Database Developer in Miami to lead the migration from Oracle to Azure PostgreSQL while managing and optimizing database environments for a federal Data Analytics and Business Intelligence platform. The role requires 7+ years of PostgreSQL administration expertise in Linux environments and hands-on experience with migration tools like Ora2Pg.

What you'll do

• Lead migration efforts from Oracle databases to Microsoft Azure PostgreSQL
• Set up, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL instances with high availability and performance
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes
• Perform performance tuning and assist developers with optimization
• Create and maintain technical documentation and business data analysis
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate technical objectives into requirements
