PostgreSQL Database Developer

About this role

CGS seeks an experienced PostgreSQL Database Developer in Charlotte, NC to lead the migration from Oracle to Azure PostgreSQL and manage database environments for a federal Data Analytics platform. You'll ensure system scalability, performance, and availability while collaborating across teams to implement data solutions.

What you'll do

• Drive Oracle to Azure PostgreSQL database migration efforts
• Monitor and maintain database performance, availability, and security with minimal downtime
• Create and maintain technical documentation and propose effective database solutions
• Perform performance tuning and assist developers with optimization
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes
• Conduct database patching, upgrades, and maintenance rollouts
