PostgreSQL Database Developer

About this role

CGS seeks an experienced PostgreSQL Database Developer to lead the migration from Oracle to Azure Postgres while managing and optimizing database environments for a federal Data Analytics platform. You'll ensure system scalability, performance, and high availability while collaborating across teams in an Agile environment.

What you'll do

• Lead Oracle to Microsoft Azure Postgres database migration using Ora2Pg tool
• Monitor and maintain PostgreSQL instances to ensure performance, security, and minimal downtime
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery processes
• Create technical documentation and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Perform database performance tuning and assist developers with optimization
• Execute patching, upgrades, and maintenance rollouts proactively
