PostgreSQL Database Developer

About this role

CGS seeks an experienced PostgreSQL Database Developer to lead the migration from Oracle to Azure Postgres while managing and optimizing database environments for a federal data analytics platform. You'll ensure system scalability, performance, and reliability while collaborating across teams to transform technical requirements into solutions.

What you'll do

• Lead Oracle to Microsoft Azure Postgres database migration efforts using Ora2Pg tools
• Monitor database performance and proactively optimize systems for availability and speed
• Create and maintain technical documentation while gaining deep business data knowledge
• Perform and assist with database performance tuning and optimization
• Manage database maintenance including patching, upgrades, and rollouts
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes
