AI Solutions Engineer

About this role

Chainguard seeks an AI Solutions Engineer to identify high-impact opportunities where AI can transform business operations and build working prototypes that demonstrate value. You'll partner across teams to turn AI ideas into real internal tools, automations, and assistants while maintaining rigorous security and quality standards.

What you'll do

• Conduct listening tours and assessments to identify workflows where AI can drive significant revenue or efficiency improvements
• Build prototypes including workflow automations, prompt systems, AI-enabled tools, and early integrations using approved platforms
• Partner with functional teams and the AI Enablement Council to validate opportunities and develop business cases for investment
• Ensure responsible AI building by following security and legal review processes and maintaining data hygiene
• Document and share work through demos and showcases, surfacing reuse opportunities to the broader team
• Model high-quality, maintainable AI development standards that can be handed off to functional experts

What they're looking for

• 4+ years building software, automation, or internal tooling
• Hands-on experience with AI tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) and LLM APIs
• API integration and SaaS automation across platforms like Slack, GitHub, Google Workspace
• Programming proficiency in Python and/or Go
• Product sense and ability to prioritize by impact and feasibility
• Stakeholder communication and problem framing for non-technical audiences
• Strong English communication and autonomous remote work capability
• Responsible AI mindset with respect for security and compliance guardrails
