About this role

Clasp, a venture-backed fintech startup, is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to build and scale their education financing platform that connects employers, students, and institutions. You'll own features end-to-end across frontend and backend while working closely with product and design in a customer-focused, mission-driven environment.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain features across the application management and loan repayment platform on both frontend and backend
  • Develop accessible user experiences for students and administrators, plus reliable APIs for internal and external partners
  • Improve code quality, reliability, documentation, and developer experience as you work
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into maintainable solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and own the reliability of the services you build, including on-call rotations
  • Address technical debt, fix bugs, and enhance system performance and observability

  • Backend development (Python with Django, Flask, or FastAPI)
