Software Engineer, Developer Experience (AI)

About this role

Clay is seeking a Software Engineer focused on Developer Experience to build infrastructure and tooling that enables both human engineers and AI coding agents to work effectively across the full development lifecycle. You'll design systems that provide deep codebase context, streamline development workflows, and safely integrate changes into production.

• Design and build developer experience systems for engineering and AI coding agents
• Work on monorepo organization and orchestration
• Create infrastructure for codebase context awareness and agent execution
• Develop testing, validation, and deployment systems
• Build tools that improve development workflows across the full lifecycle
• Enable safe integration of AI-generated code into production systems
