Software Engineer, Infrastructure

About this role

CLEAR seeks an early-career Software Engineer to join the Infrastructure team and build next-generation systems supporting their secure identity platform. You'll focus on developing deployment processes, enhancing Kubernetes infrastructure, and implementing AWS networking solutions while collaborating with engineering teams on observability and best practices.

What you'll do

• Develop streamlined deployment processes for scalable software-defined networking on AWS
• Enhance Kubernetes compute platform with new features and AWS networking capabilities
• Implement observability best practices using monitoring tools like Splunk or Datadog
• Act as product owner for infrastructure, gathering feedback from engineering teams
• Design and optimize cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services
• Collaborate across teams to address infrastructure pain points

What they're looking for

• Python programming
• AWS cloud services and networking (VPC, SGs, ALBs/ELBs, Route53)
• Kubernetes and container orchestration (EKS, ECS)
• Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation)
• API Gateway solutions
• AWS security features (Network Firewall, WAF)
• 0-2 years infrastructure and platform development experience
• Product and user-centric mindset
