About this role
Join an early-stage Y Combinator–backed startup as the founding electrical engineer to own the complete electronics and PCB design for an AI-powered emotional intelligence wearable. You'll drive the device from prototype through mass production in a small, high-impact team with significant leadership potential.
What you'll do
- Design and own end-to-end electrical architecture and PCB layout for the wearable device
- Iterate rapidly through hardware revisions while maintaining quality and manufacturability
- Lead the device from prototype validation through design-for-manufacturing and mass production
- Collaborate with founder and cross-functional team on product requirements, sensor selection, and form-factor constraints
- Establish electrical engineering processes, standards, and documentation as the team grows
- Manage sensor integration, power optimization, and cost constraints for consumer electronics
