About this role

Join an early-stage startup as a Founding Engineer to build AI-powered billing automation software for emergency medical services. You'll own end-to-end development, work directly with customers, and shape the product and engineering culture from the ground up.

What you'll do

  • Own full-stack development including architecture, deployment, and on-call responsibility
  • Build and ship customer-facing features based on direct conversations with EMS operations leaders and billers
  • Develop automation systems that reduce manual work and improve financial outcomes for agencies
  • Make product and design tradeoffs with strong UX sensibility
  • Deploy features rapidly, gather customer feedback, and iterate continuously
  • Collaborate closely with the founding team in-person 2–3 days per week in San Francisco

  • React and frontend development with strong UX sensibilities
  • Full-stack product development and end-to-end feature delivery
  • LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
  • API integration and backend development
  • Go, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud (preferred)
  • Customer needs translation and technical scoping
  • Computer science fundamentals and attention to detail
  • Clear communication and rapid learning ability
