About this role

Join an early-stage AI/ML startup as a founding engineer to build intelligent systems that help hardware and defense/medical firms accelerate engineering workflows. You'll own the full technical stack—from architecture to production—partnering with the CTO to deploy AI agents integrated with CAD, CAE, and PLM tools into real customer programs.

What you'll do

  • Design and build core system architecture integrating AI agents with CAD, CAE, and PLM tools for defense and medical customers
  • Own end-to-end production delivery including architecture decisions, reliability, observability, testing, and on-call operations
  • Ship and operationalize the first production AI workflow into a live customer program
  • Build evaluation and training loops using simulation, test data, engineer feedback, and reinforcement learning grounded in physics
  • Embed with partner engineers to understand real-world failure modes and translate findings into platform capabilities
  • Mentor and help build the engineering team as it scales
