About the Role

This is the first engineering hire at an early-stage AI company building automated software factories for enterprise clients. You will work directly with the two founders to take the full product from raw desktop recordings to shipped production software, owning every layer of the stack. The work is high-stakes and high-velocity: your output goes live on real client systems fast.

What You'll Do

  • Build high-throughput, high-concurrency systems that capture events from client desktop agents.

  • Implement privacy and redaction pipelines to ensure sensitive client data stays where it belongs.

  • Model recorded workflows as structured knowledge graphs of business processes.

  • Develop coding agents that generate automation software and ship it into production on top of existing client infrastructure.

  • Within your first 30 days, run the entire factory end to end on a live client, then systematize what you built by hand.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years shipping production software end to end, with a product mindset; a founder track record counts.

  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs or AI agents in production systems, not just prototypes.

  • Strong full-stack or backend range across TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, or similar languages.

  • Comfortable owning features from design to deploy with real users depending on them.

  • Experience with high-throughput or high-concurrency data or event systems is a strong plus.

  • Exposure to Rust, desktop app development (Tauri, Electron, or Windows), or coding agent and code-generation systems is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Next.js, PostgreSQL, or Azure is helpful but not required on day one.

  • Background as a founder, founding engineer, or forward-deployed engineering consultant is a strong signal.

  • Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, and based in or willing to relocate to the SF Bay Area for on-site work five days a week.

  • Thrives in an intense, early-stage environment and wants founding-level ownership over product and company direction.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $150,000 to $250,000 annually

  • Equity: 0.5% to 1.5%

  • Visa sponsorship: Not available

Location

On-site, five days a week in San Francisco, California. Relocation to the SF Bay Area is required.
