Product Engineer (Software Engineer)

About this role

Join a fintech team in San Francisco to build product features that help users optimize finances, bridge income gaps, and build credit. You'll work end-to-end on impactful features, collaborating across teams to ship data-driven products to a growing user base.

What you'll do

• Build complete product features including domain models, business logic, and API integrations
• Drive data-driven, incremental releases and iterate toward ambitious milestones
• Analyze product and system performance using SQL, data pipelines, and analytics tools
• Debug event-driven backend systems using pub/sub patterns to ensure reliable user experiences
• Own implementations from development through production, managing CI/CD deployment and incidents

What they're looking for

• RESTful API design and consumption with authentication/authorization
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) with data modeling and query optimization
• CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, and code review
• Event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
• Go (golang) and GCP deployment
• Consumer product development experience
• SQL and analytics tools
• Cross-functional communication and stakeholder management
