About this role

ClickHouse is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to join their Observability organization, working across the Observability Platform and Internal Observability teams. You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and operating highly scalable distributed systems for telemetry ingestion, processing, and storage, while also participating in on-call rotations and improving platform reliability. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in backend engineering, SRE, or similar fields, who thrives on tackling ambiguous production challenges and driving improvements through automation.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and operate distributed systems for telemetry processing.
  • Ensure reliability, performance, capacity, and cost-efficiency of telemetry pipelines.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and resolve production incidents.
  • Automate operational tasks to improve platform efficiency.
  • Identify and address architectural bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and service teams.
