Response Engineer - PhishGuard

About this role

Join Cloudflare's Cloudforce One threat operations team as a Response Engineer for PhishGuard, where you'll investigate sophisticated email-based cyber threats like BEC and vendor fraud in real-time. You'll analyze threat data at massive scale, collaborate with Detection Engineering and Threat Intelligence teams, and help protect global organizations through forensic analysis and threat hunting.

What you'll do

• Monitor email threat queues continuously to review and analyze sophisticated attacks detected by automated systems
• Investigate customer-reported submissions and execute proactive threat hunts for emerging attack patterns
• Perform manual retraction or quarantine of verified malicious emails
• Collaborate with Detection Engineering, Threat Intelligence, and incident response teams
• Contribute findings to refine global security detection models
• Hunt down adversaries and track sophisticated email-borne threats targeting customers
