Software Engineer - Platforms & Productivity

Join Cloudflare's Engineering Platform and Productivity team to build developer tools and internal infrastructure that powers the company's engineering organization. This role combines software engineering with DevOps responsibilities, with a special focus on creating AI-native tooling and agentic systems to enhance developer experience and accelerate software delivery.

What you'll do

• Design and build developer productivity tooling including MCP servers and AI agents
• Respond to and prevent incidents affecting core platform systems
• Improve platform security and resilience against threats and resource contention
• Enhance GitOps systems and deployment practices
• Collaborate with product teams to guide system architecture decisions
• Drive initiatives that improve engineer happiness and productivity

• Bash, TypeScript, and Go programming
• Debugging and troubleshooting
• Git source control (branching, merging, rebasing)
• Problem decomposition and trade-off analysis
• Platform and infrastructure design
