About this role

Coder is seeking a Developer Relations Engineer to build and nurture the community around its open-source remote development platform. You'll engage users across Discord and GitHub, curate templates and documentation, deliver talks and demos at conferences, and translate community feedback into product improvements.

What you'll do

  • Maintain active presence in Discord and GitHub, answering technical questions and identifying patterns to improve the product
  • Curate and maintain the template registry, reviewing community contributions and creating high-quality templates for key development stacks
  • Create and deliver demos at conferences like KubeCon and Open Source Summit, plus build reproducible demo environments
  • Audit and improve documentation and getting-started guides to reduce user activation friction
  • Monitor developer sentiment across Hacker News, Reddit, and similar platforms, surfacing insights internally
  • Own at least one repeatable community program that deepens user engagement and advocacy
