Software Engineer

About this role

Codes Health is building AI-powered systems to automate medical records retrieval for plaintiff litigation and healthcare, currently processing records 2-3x faster than traditional methods. As a Software Engineer, you'll work on agentic systems that handle complex data workflows across faxes, portals, and emails while managing extreme variability in healthcare data.

What you'll do

• Build agentic systems that automate record retrieval across multiple channels (fax, email, web portals, physical mail)
• Develop solutions for processing large medical records (averaging 300 pages, up to 30,000) with high deduplication requirements
• Design patient and facility matching systems across messy provider networks
• Ship end-to-end features from conception through production deployment
• Collaborate directly with customers (law firms) to understand needs and iterate on solutions
• Work across both the retrieval pipeline and customer-facing product depending on priorities
