Deployed Engineer

About this role

Cognition, makers of Devin (an AI software engineer) and Windsurf (an AI-native IDE), seeks a Deployed Engineer to be the technical bridge between the company and its customers. You'll drive adoption of the platform by working directly with engineering teams to deploy, integrate, and maximize value from Devin/Windsurf in production environments while gathering customer insights to shape product direction.

What you'll do

• Manage the complete customer technical lifecycle from deployment through activation and adoption
• Lead product demos, pilots, and integrations with customer engineering teams
• Identify high-impact use cases and drive platform adoption across diverse clients
• Implement customer-requested features and serve as a technical problem-solver
• Gather customer feedback and advocate for roadmap priorities based on real-world needs
• Maintain proactive customer relationships to prevent issues and ensure success

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and rigorous technical background
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, TypeScript, or similar)
• Ability to write, debug, and understand real software systems
• Excellent communication with both engineers and executives
