Forward Deployed Engineer, Agentic Platform

About this role

Cohere seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to design and deploy LLM-powered agentic workflows for enterprise customers across critical sectors. You'll bridge our North AI platform and client engineering teams, building production-grade agents that integrate with enterprise tools and data while maintaining security and reliability, with 20-40% travel to customer sites.

What you'll do

• Translate complex business problems into well-scoped agentic workflows with clear success metrics
• Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered agents that reason, plan, and act across APIs and enterprise data sources
• Develop features for North platform across full product lifecycle from conception to production
• Own end-to-end use case scoping and shape solutions across technical areas as needed
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure agent accuracy, safety, and performance
• Travel 20-40% to collaborate on-site with enterprise customers and partners

What they're looking for

• Production Python development with clean, testable, observable code
• RAG and agentic application design and deployment
• LLM stack expertise (models, vector databases, orchestration frameworks)
• Evaluation framework development and agent testing
• Customer engagement and technical stakeholder communication
• Full-stack problem ownership and execution in ambiguous environments
• Enterprise software architecture and standards (bonus)
• Cross-functional flexibility (frontend, backend, etc.)
