Forward Deployed Engineer, Agentic Platform (UK/Europe)

About this role

Cohere seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to design and deploy production-grade LLM-powered agents for enterprise customers. You'll bridge Cohere's North AI platform with client engineering teams, building agentic workflows that integrate AI with tools and data sources across finance, healthcare, and telecom sectors.

What you'll do

• Partner with enterprise customers to translate business problems into well-scoped agentic workflows with clear success metrics
• Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered agents that execute multi-step reasoning across tools, APIs, and sensitive data sources
• Develop features for North platform across the full product lifecycle from conception to production
• Own use cases end-to-end and contribute technical solutions across frontend, backend, and infrastructure as needed
• Create shared frameworks and patterns that enable consistent high-quality delivery across teams and customers
• Travel 20–40% to work on-site with customers and drive technical clarity in ambiguous situations

• Production Python development with clean, testable, observable code
• RAG and agentic application design and deployment
• LLM stack expertise (frontier models, vector databases, orchestration frameworks)
• Evaluation framework development for agent accuracy, safety, and latency
• Direct customer engagement and technical stakeholder communication
• Full-stack ownership of use cases end-to-end
• Rapid execution in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
• Knowledge of regulated industries (finance, healthcare, telecoms)
